I have never told anyone this and i shall now.
My parents had many fights when i was young, they would scream at each other just because they disagreed at something. One day my dad even threw a broken lamp light at my mum, my she cried. No one saw her tears because she was crying silently. As i was still young, i would go up to her and ask her what was wrong but she would always reply smiling, "Nothing, mummy's just very tired". I would usually just take her word for it and assume that she was really really tired until my brother told me.
On a specific Christmas day, as I was having a sleepover at Mel's place, my brother told me that mum and dad had another fight and even mentioned something about divorce. I didn't want to dig up anymore information about that unhappy incident because whenever i mention it, mummy would turn very quiet and refuse to talk to any of us. Hoping for the better, things only became worse. Every night in my room I could hear screaming, shouting and banging. Being young and clueless, me and my brother would hide under our blankets together on my bed to avoid becoming the next victim of their fights.
"If i were to divorce your dad i would leave Singapore and return to Malaysia to stay," "Who will feed you?" Mum would often pop these kind of questions when only me, my bro and herself was in the car. I was afraid. My mother is a really caring person, she only gets a little out of hand when she starts nagging. My dad usually starts working very early in the morning and get back very late at night for seven days a week. I always just get to see 15 second glimpses of him each day or if i'm lucky a few minutes before he leaves for work.
Things soon went back to normal during my psle year :-)
because my parents didn't want to affect my studies and hope that i will get into a decent secondary school(i doubt it not HAHAHA) thus they co-operated and got me to cram study 1-2 months before the actual exam. And they've stopped shouting, banging etc. I really love my mom and dad though they might be a little biased at times hehex. :O
